Facilities for disabled users

The library has computer workstations for visually impaired and blind users:

  • w Information Services Department room 310, 3rd floor

    • electronic magnifier with desktop connected to a TV screen,
    • 1 Mobilux LED hand-held magnifier,
    • 1 Lupa mobilux LED,
  • w Main Reading Room/EDC room 317, 3rd floor
    • 4 computer workstations,
    • 1 scanner Plustek OpticBook 3600 Plus with ABBYY FineReader 5.0 Sprint,
    • electronic magnifier with desktop connected to a TV screen,
    • 2 Mobilux LED hand-held magnifiers,
    • 2 Lupy mobilux LED,
    • 2 Kepler system devices for magnifying,
    • speaking device Poet Compact 2,
    • an embosser,

Inside the library building there are elevators and disabled access toilets are located on every floor of the building. Work tables for users with mobility disabilities are located in the Information Services Department, in the Main Reading Room and in the Catalogues.

Students with recognized disabilities are entitled to:

  • priority service,
  • borrowing a maximum of 10 books for the period of 2 months,
  • proxy borrowing - they have the right to designate one person authorized to borrow books on their behalf, this person must be appointed for a period of at least one year.
